Customer Questions & Answers

Is the paint safe for windows?

Yes! We use professional, water-based acrylic paints that are safe and non-damaging. They won’t stain or harm your windows.

My windows get condensation — can they still be painted?

It depends on the amount of condensation. If it’s just a small amount at the bottom, I can usually paint above it. For larger areas of condensation, painting isn’t recommended, as moisture can cause the paint to run, and no sealant can prevent this.

My windows are tinted — can they still be painted?

If your windows are tinted on the inside, unfortunately, they cannot be painted. Removing the paint afterward would damage the tint.

Do you paint on the inside or outside of windows?

I paint on the inside of the window, so the window must be accessible from indoors.

How long does the artwork last?

The window art can stay up for as long as you like.

Do you offer removal?

Yes. I can remove the artwork for you when you’re ready (this service is chargeable) before repainting it for the next season. Alternatively, you can remove it yourself using a window scraper. Instructions — including a video — are provided below. See full removal instructions and product recommendations.

How much does it cost?

Painting is charged at £100 per hour, which includes pre-design work and materials. Most windows typically cost between £200–£300.

Do you offer snow spraying?

No. While you may have seen Tom Baker’s Snow Windows using snow spray for festive effects, I don’t offer this service.

I provide Christmas window paintings and seasonal window art across Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, Stroud, Stonehouse, Bristol, Evesham, Worcestershire, Forest of Dean, Tetbury, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Hereford, and the Cotswolds. I’m happy to travel further on request.

Paper Towel
Window scraper blade

Always use a clean fresh blade, you can buy replacement blades for your scrapers. Old, used and rusty blades can scratch windows.
